Edwin S. Mruk is a Managing Director of Forensic Employment & Compensation Consultants, LLC. Mr. Mruk has been accepted by federal, tax and several state courts as an expert on matters relating to:

    • executive compensation
    • employability
    • career/vocational assessment
    • executive search
    • executive pay & benefits
    • earnings capacity

He has testified on matrimonial matters, personal injury/wrongful death cases and various employment related litigations. He is also the senior partner of Mruk & EMA Partners, Management Consultants; and a retired senior partner of Ernst & Young, the international firm of management consultants and certified public accountants. He was the Managing Director of that firm’s global executive search practice and the senior national practice partner in executive compensation, corporate organization, and human resource management.

Mr. Mruk has authored several books and articles on organization and compensation of boards of directors, and executive compensation. For many years he was the co-author of the Arthur Young series of studies of executive compensation and pay practices based on data from approximately 850 companies, large and small. In addition, he has been a consultant on compensation for several years to the Association of the Bar of the City of New York – Corporate Law Section.

He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University. He is an accredited diplomat of the World at Work (formerly the American Compensation Association), a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, the American Society of Personnel Administration, the American Management Association, American Board of Vocational Experts and the Board of Advisors of the Corporate Governance Institute at Florida Atlantic University.

Richard D. Sbarbaro is a Managing Director of Forensic Employment and Compensation Consultants, LLC. The firm provides litigation support for attorneys in matters relating to:

Mr. Sbarbaro has been accepted and testified as an expert in the state courts. He testified in circuit court for the plaintiff in an Illinois employment and defamation case which resulted in a jury award of $13,000,000. The award at the time was believed to be one of the largest in U.S. history for this type of case and was subsequently affirmed by the Illinois Appellate Court.

He has opined on employment, defamation, matrimonial and other matters.

Mr Sbarbaro is also Chairman of Lauer, Sbarbaro Associates – EMA Partners International, and former Chairman of EMA Partners International. The firm provides consulting services to clients nationally and internationally. Services to senior management include executive search, organization strategy, executive compensation, management assessment, executive mentoring, in addition to other industry or organization specific projects. Clients include the spectrum of Fortune 100 organizations to small privately held companies. The firm also assists clients in higher education, as well as in not-for-profit. As a generalist firm, client organizations include a broad range of industries such as consumer products, direct marketing, financial services, healthcare, insurance, law, manufacturing publishing, retail, venture capital and other. Mr. Sbarbaro has supervised and conducted over 1,800 assignments for over 400 organizations.

Under his direction, the firm has obtained a widely recognized national and local reputation in executive search and organizational consulting. The firm has been named repeatedly as one of the top executive search organizations in the world by Executive Search Review. Mr. Sbarbaro has been named as one of the top 150 executive search recruiters in “The Career Makers” published by Harper Collins.

Prior to joining Lauer, Sbarbaro Associates in 1979, Mr. Sbarbaro was a principal with Booz, Allen and Hamilton and a Senior Vice President of the Chicago Stock Exchange (formerly the Midwest Stock Exchange) and its subsidiaries located in Chicago. Earlier positions included assignments with Fry Consultants and Illinois Bell Telephone.

Mr. Sbarbaro has been a resident of the Chicagoland area all of his life, having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from DePaul University in Chicago. Over the years, he has remained active with DePaul University, serving on a variety of boards including the Athletic Board (13 years), the President’s Club Board and the Special Gifts Committee. In 1982, he received the DePaul University Distinguished Alumni Award and the Beta Gamma Sigma Alumni Award in 1989. He served as a member of the Graduate School of Management Advisory Council and has been an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Business. He also has served as an executive committee member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants.

William J. Yacullo is a Managing Director of Forensic Employment and Compensation Consultants, LLC. Mr. Yacullo has provided litigation support for attorneys in matters relating to:

He has been deposed on various employment and executive search issues.

Mr. Yacullo has co-authored white papers on the Executive Search Process, Interviewing and Succession Planning in addition to other white papers as part of the Business Executives for Economic Justices (BEEJ).

He is President and shareholder of Lauer, Sbarbaro Associates – EMA Partners International and former Chairman of EMA Partners International. Mr. Yacullo has managed and personally conducted over 1500 assignments in a wide variety of industries. The firm serves clients national and internationally that includes senior level assignments in financial services, consulting, technology, healthcare, consumer and industrial products, retail, publishing as well as law and insurance. Services include executive search, management assessment, career counseling and mentoring, organization review and strategy and executive compensation. In addition, Mr. Yacullo and his firm have developed a specialty practice in education, non-for-profit and faith based organizations.

He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from DePaul University. While there, he received the Delta Sigma Pi Achievement Award as the outstanding senior in the graduating class of the College of Commerce. He obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University in 1973. He has remained active in DePaul University alumni and fund raising activities, and he has served as President of the School’s Commerce Alumni Association and two terms as Chairman of the DePaul University Business Forum.

Prior to joining Lauer, Sbarbaro Associates in 1980, Mr. Yacullo worked in the telecommunication industry and served in a variety of assignments including human resources, operations, marketing, product management and regulatory affairs.

Mr. Yacullo has won awards for his work in professional, sports and charitable activities. He is a regular speaker and panel moderator at various Chicago area professional seminars, addressing a variety of human resource and recruiting issues, and has lectured at several area universities and international conferences. He also has served as a volunteer High School Basketball Coach for over 20 years and is member of the Illinois Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Mr. Yacullo is currently Vice President of the Board of Advisors of St. Joseph College Seminary; member of the Board of Advisors of Catholic Charities of Chicago and the Career Transition Center. Mr. Yacullo is a founding member and past Chairman of the Business Executives for Economic Justice, a proactive group of business leaders in the Chicago area; past President of the First Friday Club of Chicago; past Chairman of the Board of Villa Scalabrini Home for the Aged; and past member of the Board of Directors of St. Francis Hospital (part of Resurrection Health Care).

Christopher Reece is a Managing Director of Forensic Employment and Compensation Consultants, LLC. He has provided litigation support for attorneys in matters relating to:

Mr. Reece has more than 30 years of senior management experience in management consulting, executive search and operations. Currently, he is Managing Director of EMA Partners – Boston, a shareholder member of EMA Partners International, an alliance of executive search firms in over 40 countries across the globe. He has conducted over 250 executive searches and numerous organizational assessments and executive assessments. Mr. Reece has conducted assignments in all functional areas with emphasis on executive and general management level searches. These organizations have ranged in size from entrepreneurial start-ups to billion dollar corporations. Some of the industries have included telecommunications, software, industrial products, financial services, business services and textiles. He has also led arrangements for several NGOs including health care networks, and an educational reform consortium.

Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Associate in the Boston and New York offices of A. T. Kearney, an international management consulting firm. Mr. Reece began his career with an international industrial manufacturer.

Mr. Reece earned his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as a Board President of Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA. He is a member of World at Work (formerly the American Compensation Society), the American Board of Vocational Experts and the Association for Corporate Growth. He is based in the Boston area.

Thomas Tilghman is a Managing Director of Forensic Employment and Compensation Consultants, LLC. The firm provides litigation support for attorneys in matters relating to:

Mr. Tilghman has more than 35 years of senior consulting and management experience in executive and international compensation. He currently provides compensation consulting related services through Tilghman Associates LLC.

He has conducted compensation and human resources related projects in a wide variety of industries including high tech, pharmaceuticals, banking and oil. He has worked with start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. He is experienced with all aspects of compensation (base salary, bonuses, long-term incentives, executive perquisites) and employee benefits (medical, retirement, insurance) including competitive comparison, design and time-based valuation, both domestically and internationally.

Earlier in his career, he was a senior consultant with Towers Perrin specializing in international compensation and a Director in Ernst & Young’s Human Resources Consulting Group managing the executive compensation and compensation survey activities. He was Assistant Vice President of Compensation at Continental Grain and Manager of Compensation at Baxter, managing their executive and employee compensation programs.

Mr. Tilghman received his BA from Harvard College and an MBA from Amos Tuck (Dartmouth College). He is a member of World at Work (formerly the American Compensation Association), Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and ERC (Employee Relocation Council).

He has made frequent presentations to organizations such as World at Work, American Management Association, and National Foreign Trade Council. He is based in Florida.
